Learn about Legacy was a new event we launched this year, which was born from the ashes of our previous event, “Family Information Night.” We revamped this event and made it more interactive, and changed the way parents can learn about legacy.
Half the event would be something you could follow virtually and receive the information throughout the whole week through a daily email with a respective theme (for example: Mission Mondays, which dove into Legacy’s mission and values and how that would apply to your student in the classroom). Then it would be followed by Learn about Legacy Night on Friday, which would be open to the public to come and fill in any gaps and answer questions that weren’t answered throughout the week.
This project was a challenge because we needed a way to communicate to families which part of the event they were experiencing. It was a lot more journey-based than a lot of our other events, and it needed a strong visual for families to recognize and be able to connect to the event, regardless of whether they were viewing it on their phone or laptop. I chose the book visual paired with our curling “quill stroke” to communicate learning and finding answers.

Splash into Legacy
Splash into Legacy is a longstanding Legacy event loved by the community. It's free and open to any family who wishes to attend; it usually features bounce houses and water slides, food trucks, and receives a lot of RSVPs every year. I wanted the flyer to reflect that fun energy and excitement. I played with fun fonts and effects to produce an appealing flyer that connected with the community, and this year's Splash into Legacy was the largest attended we had ever seen. And it was so inspiring to give back to the community this way.
