Hi! I'm Maggie!

Nice to meet you!

Hey, I’m Maggie. I am a graphic designer who loves making ideas clear, creative, and useful. I currently work as a graphic designer at Vertex Education, where I produce print collateral for campuses as well as a wide range of digital marketing assets. I also work with freelance clients, as I genuinely enjoy designing for different people and needs.

My passion is using design to help others bring their vision to life. I adapt my style to any brand, always thinking about the bigger picture while keeping an eye on the small details. Smart strategy and thoughtful execution are my thing.

I earned my bachelor’s in graphic design from Illinois State University. There, I gained hands-on experience designing for Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality, as well as the Office of Sustainability.

My goal is to make great design while ensuring a positive experience for my clients. I work with Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, and website builders like Wix Studio and Squarespace. I love picking up new skills whenever a project calls for it.

If you think we might be a good fit, head to my contact page and let’s chat!.

Skills/Niches

Many designers have diverse skills, I am no different, but these are the things I’m passionate about, the things that fascinate me, and make me fall I love with my job over and over again.

Icons

Simple yet challenging, icon design has always been one of my favorite things to design. Need a complex set of icons quickly? I’m your girl! From simple social icons to icons representing entire event themes, I love executing something legible and visually exciting for the viewer.

Illustration

Hand-drawn illustrations are always worth the extra work for me; they bring personality to work and help me connect with a viewer more directly. Bringing sketches to life and animating my drawings has been a fun skill to learn, and while I’m still refining my skills, the product speaks for itself.

Spreads

From magazines to digital packets, full-page layouts are difficult to execute. They require the ability to see the project as a whole while still focusing on individual assets. I don’t often get the opportunity to design full-page layouts, but when I do, time flies!
